Koni brings to the area over 10 years of experience in multi-cultural hair care and styling.

Splitting her upbringing between NYC and NEPA, Koni discovered her love for hair during summer visits to the Scranton Area throughout her pre-teen years.

Her mother - trying her best to keep Koni and her sisters hair neat with low maintenance - would have their hair braided in New York City before they would come spend summers in NEPA. Being known around town as the "girl with the braids", the hairstyles she wore attracted enough positive attention that it encouraged her to learn to do them. Practicing on her sisters and friends is where her adoration for the skill grew.

With no consistent hair salon catering to the area's growing diverse culture, Koni became the go-to stylist for "city like" hair styles - minus the commute.

By the time her parents made the permanent move to the area, 15 year old Koni had developed a dedicated clientele base. She would have men and women, boys and girls lined up in her mothers living room after high school hours waiting to get their hair braided. After attending Penn State University for Accounting, and working for a local credit union, Koni quickly discovered that her fulfillment came from making others feel and look beautiful. It was then that she decided to return to her home city, New York, to pursue a professional beauty career.

In 2011, Koni graduated from Empire Beauty School and obtained her Cosmetology License. Since then, she has provided hair and makeup services for countless clients throughout the NYC and Tri-State area.  Starting off at a salon on Wall Street, she has spread her talents throughout The Hamptons, and Montauk, has shot over 100 commercials with several production companies, has worked by the side of Kanye West for hair and makeup direction on the Yeezy Season III catolog, represents TRESemme at their New York Fashion Week salon, and has even taken her talents international to The Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.

Today, Koni divides her time between V A N I T Y, freelance based work in NYC, and motherhood; as a new mom to a two year old baby girl - while happily based in North Eastern Pennsylvania.
